Madison needed a changed in momentum after dropping nine straight matches and they got it from Aubrianna Jefferson. The Mavericks walked away with a 3-1 win over the LEE Volunteers on Friday for which the team can thank Jefferson, who had 35 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.
Madison walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 19-25, 25-23.
When it comes to explaining why LEE lost, don't look at Elizabeth Weis. Despite the final result, she had 33 digs and two assists.
Madison's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 13-22. As for LEE, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-13.
