Baseball Recap: Roane County Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

While Roane County's win against Tellico Plains wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yellowjackets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Bears on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won four in a row.

Landon Riter looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Blake Herrell, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
