            Wirt County has gone 8-2 against Calhoun recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Tigers will square off against the Red Devils at 5:00  p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Wirt County will bounce into Thursday's   match after  beating Gilmer County, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers blew past the Titans 11-1 on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

  Wyatt Boice was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Peyton Dye was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
 Ravenswood hit Calhoun with a nine-run third inning  on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. Calhoun fell just short of Ravenswood by a score of  12-11. Calhoun has struggled against Ravenswood recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
 Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Wirt County,  the  win snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 8-6 record.
 Wirt County took their  victory against Calhoun  when the teams last played  on April 8th by a conclusive  8-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
