Basketball Game Preview: Central Bucks East Patriots vs. Lower Merion Aces

The Central Bucks East Patriots are taking a road trip to take on the Lower Merion Aces at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Bucks East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Central Bucks East took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with an 81-80 photo finish over Phoenixville.

Meanwhile, Lower Merion came tearing into Tuesday's contest with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Falcons 70-30. The Aces have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Central Bucks East is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Lower Merion, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Central Bucks East ended up a good deal behind Lower Merion in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, losing 63-48. Can Central Bucks East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
