Volleyball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Licking Heights

Licking Heights won the last time they faced Northland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Hornets put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

One reason for the win was Licking Heights' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 25-8.

Licking Heights found their leader in sophomore Evan Boren, who had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Boren.

Licking Heights was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Licking Heights' win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. As for Northland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Licking Heights will head out to face off against Pickerington Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northland, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tree of Life Christian at 5:30 p.m. on the 28th.
