Baseball Recap: Desert Christian Knights vs. St. Monica Academy Crusaders

Desert Christian stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 18-8 margin over the St. Monica Academy Crusaders. Desert Christian's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jason Main was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits (he also didn't allow any walks). Main was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

In other batting news, Desert Christian let Jase Pfeil and Logan Mount loose on the outfield. Pfeil scored three runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5, while Mount scored five runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Hernandez, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-2.

Desert Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for St. Monica Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
