Basketball Recap: Evangel Christian Beats Pineview Christian for Their Second Straight Win

Evangel Christian won the last time they faced Pineview Christian, and Rachel Cassimiro did her part to make sure it happened again. The Evangel Christian Lightning took their match on Monday with ease, bagging a 51-20 win over the Pineview Christian Warriors thanks in part to Cassimiro, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, she also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Lilli Whitfield, who posted five points along with nine boards and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Evangel Christian and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for Pineview Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Evangel Christian has already played their next game, a 44-40 loss against Mt. Pleasant Christian on the 4th. Pineview Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
