Baseball Recap: Parkland Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wilson, Parkland was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past the Easton Area Rovers 4-3. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Rovers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Parkland got a great performance from Steven Sepko as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. What's more, Sepko posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Parkland's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Dobil, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Tsubasa Magota was another, earning one run and three stolen bases.

Parkland's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Easton Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Parkland and Easton Area should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Trojans will challenge Louis E. Dieruff at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (23 vs. 501). Meanwhile, Easton Area (ranked 81st) will meet East Stroudsburg North (ranked 528th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
