Basketball Recap: Clayton-Bradley Academy Takes a Loss

If Clayton-Bradley Academy was feeling good fresh off their 61-21 takedown of Temple Baptist Academy back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clayton-Bradley Academy Blazers were dealt a 96-26 loss at the hands of the King's Academy Lions on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while the Lions are ranked 24th).

Clayton-Bradley Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mia Adkins, who posted 16 points. The match was Adkins' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Bault, who put up ten points.

Clayton-Bradley Academy now has a losing record at 4-5. As for King's Academy, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Clayton-Bradley Academy will take on Concord Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King's Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-57 defeat against Silverdale Academy on the 4th.
