La Plata's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Great Mills Hornets a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won ten matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

La Plata's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Great Mills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
