Nash Central hasn't had much luck against Rocky Mount recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Nash Central Bulldogs will welcome the Rocky Mount Gryphons at 7:30 p.m. Nash Central will be strutting in after a win while Rocky Mount will be coming in after a defeat.
Nash Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Wake Christian Academy by a score of 75-63 on Saturday.

Nash Central's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Gerald Davis, who went 11 for 14 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven boards and three steals, and Markell Jasper, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Jasper a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Tucker, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Nash Central was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mount came up short against West Johnston on Saturday and fell 55-48.
Nash Central will have to keep a close watch on Brelyn Moses and Anthony Jones, a pair of players who had a big impact on Rocky Mount's prior game. Moses went 10 of 20 on his way to 22 points and eight boards, while Jones went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points. Moses continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Rocky Mount's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Nash Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Nash Central has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Rocky Mount struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Nash Central suffered a grim 62-38 defeat to Rocky Mount in their previous matchup back in February. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jones, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Now that Nash Central knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
