Basketball Preview: Baldwin Indians vs. Englewood Rams
Baldwin is 7-2 against Englewood since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Baldwin Indians just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Englewood Rams at 6:00 p.m. Baldwin will be strutting in after a victory while Englewood will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Baldwin had just enough and edged Wolfson out 43-41.
Meanwhile, Englewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against First Coast, falling 43-21. The Rams were down 34-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tiarra Redding, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniya George, who scored six points plus eight rebounds and three steals.
Englewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Baldwin, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
