After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cottondale, Paxton was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 14-11 victory over the Central Jaguars. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won three in a row.

Emily Ward was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high. Alyssa Hall was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Paxton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive matches.

Paxton's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Paxton will take on Red Level at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
