Baseball Recap: Clinton's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

There's no place like home for Clinton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Navajo Indians on Thursday as they made off with a 9-1 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Tornadoes as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

The team relied heavily on Dyson Moss, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Snider Dowdell, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Clinton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Navajo, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will take on Woodward at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Navajo, they will square off against Cordell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
