Volleyball Recap: Sam Rayburn Takes a Loss

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Sam Rayburn started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-17, 25-20, 27-25.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Pasadena Memorial, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 14-23.

As of now, neither Sam Rayburn nor the Mavericks have any future games scheduled.
