Basketball Recap: Whitefield Academy Comes Up Short

Whitefield Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Clinton County on Thursday. The Whitefield Academy Wildcats took a blow against the Clinton County Bulldogs, falling 69-36. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 16th).

Whitefield Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Clinton County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 21-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitefield Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Trimble County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton County, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Russell County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
