Basketball Recap: Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South can now relate to. They took a blow against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North on Thursday, falling 87-56. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North this season, with their most recent defeat being a 78-52 loss back in February.

Loss or not, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South got some senior leadership from Jordan Exton and Jayden Webster. Exton posted 14 points and five assists, while Webster dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South is 3-1 when Webster posts eight or more boards, but 7-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Nelson, who earned 13 points.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North, they will take on Edmondson-Westside on Saturday. Edmondson-Westside will roll in looking for their 26th straight victory, something Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North surely won't give up without a fight.
