Even though Carlin has not done well against Jackpot recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Round Mountain suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Pahranagat Valley, falling 45-10. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Round Mountain has scored all season.
Carlin's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10. As for Round Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Carlin took a serious blow against Round Mountain in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 42-12. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Round Mountain's Ava Faga, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Now that Carlin knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
