Softball Game Preview: Wahconah Regional Warriors vs. Turners Falls Thunder

The Wahconah Regional Warriors will square off against the Turners Falls Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Wahconah Regional came up short against Greenfield on Tuesday, falling 8-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Green Wave recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Turners Falls waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Mounties. Considering the Thunder have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Turners Falls' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Wahconah Regional, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Wahconah Regional might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Turners Falls in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
