Baseball Recap: Montrose Comes Up Short

Montrose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 22-1 to the Grand Junction Tigers. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Montrose saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brekin Hutto, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Montrose's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Grand Junction, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

Montrose will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Palisade at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Grand Junction, they will host Glenwood Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
