Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Brockway

Brockway won against Kane last Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Rovers put the hurt on the Bradford Owls with a sharp 15-2 win. The Rovers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Bailee Carberry looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Elysabeth Myers was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Ella Reitz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

The victory (which was Brockway's third in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bradford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brockway will face off against Elk County Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.15 runs per game on average), something the Rovers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Bradford, they will welcome Port Allegany at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
