It was a good run, but Adams unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Stoney Creek Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss back in October.
Stoney Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eleanor Luhmann led the charge by getting 13 digs and one assist. Luhmann has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Gustafson, who had seven digs and three aces.
Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 15-19-1. As for Stoney Creek, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 27-10.
As of now, neither Adams nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
