Bluffton is 9-1 against Hilton Head Island since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the Seahawks at 6:00 p.m. Bluffton is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Battery Creek hit Bluffton with a five-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bobcats fell 7-4 to the Dolphins.

Meanwhile, Hilton Head Island beat Hampton County 6-3 on Tuesday. The Seahawks haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Skyla Ward made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Ward was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kevonna Brockington was incredible, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Sania Pinkney was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Bluffton's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Hilton Head Island, their record is now 4-11.

Bluffton might still be hurting after the 17-9 defeat they got from Hilton Head Island in their previous matchup on April 4th. Can the Bobcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
