Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hawthorne Math & Science Academy). Everything went their way against the Elizabeth Bulldogs on Thursday as Hawthorne Math & Science Academy made off with a 25-7 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Aviators considering their one-run performance the contest before.

The victory snapped Hawthorne Math & Science Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-8 record. As for Elizabeth, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Hawthorne Math & Science Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lennox Academy at 3:15 p.m. on April 8. As for Elizabeth, they will head out to square off against Torres at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
