Baseball Recap: Fremont Comes Up Short

Fremont lost to Columbus back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 10-7 to the Discoverers. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cade Pribnow was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Columbus, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Fremont wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-4 defeat against Norfolk on the 14th. As for Columbus, they will challenge Lincoln East at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Discoverers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
