Recap: Challis Vikings vs. Grace Grizzlies
If the Challis Vikings were feeling good off their 56-34 takedown of the American Heritage Patriots last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Challis suffered a tough 61-38 defeat at the hands of Grace on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Challis has suffered since December 1, 2023.
Challis' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jacen Farr, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds, and Sawyer Whittier who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Mercado, who scored nine points.
Challis' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Grace, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Challis will square off against American Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Heritage is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Grace, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Side at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.
