Notre Dame-Green Pond has gone 7-1 against Pen Argyl recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. On Friday, Notre Dame-Green Pond strolled past Northern Lehigh with points to spare, taking the game 40-21.

Faustie Capobianco had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making 11 total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Striba, who picked up 79 receiving yards and one score.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Notre Dame-Green Pond, adding 16 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Striba, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Drew Boyd.

Pen Argyl hadn't beaten Salisbury Township on the road since October 7, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Green Knights made off with a 20-19 victory over the Falcons. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Green Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Falcons are ranked 372nd).

Pen Argyl had a senior duo take command as Mason Soos rushed for 91 yards and one TD on only 12 carries and Caiden Faust gained 94 total yards and two touchdowns. That rushing touchdown marked the first that Soos has punched in this season.

Notre Dame-Green Pond's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Pen Argyl, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Notre Dame-Green Pond against Pen Argyl when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-15 win. In that game, the Crusaders amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
