Baseball Recap: Credo Comes Up Short

If Credo was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Technology last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gryphon came up short against the Paso Robles Bearcats on Monday, falling 18-1.

Credo saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tommy Simmons, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Simmons is becoming a predictor of the Gryphon's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 4-5-1 when he doesn't).

Credo's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Paso Robles, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-9.

Coming up, Credo will be taking part in a tournament against Pleasant Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Paso Robles, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-3 defeat against Millikan on the 14th.
