Bonita Springs dropped their record down to 4-15 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-0 to the DeSoto County Bulldogs. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bullsharks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for DeSoto County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games.

For DeSoto County's part, the team relied heavily on Ellie Whidden, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Whidden a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emery Skinner, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
