Softball Recap: Columbus Catholic Comes Up Short

Columbus Catholic lost to Newman Catholic back in July of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Sailors came up short against the Knights, falling 11-3. The Sailors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbus Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Newman Catholic, the win (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Columbus Catholic will take on Aplington-Parkersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Newman Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-3 victory against AGWSR on the 30th.
