Basketball Game Preview: Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy vs. Morris Bulldogs

Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy is on a four-game streak of home losses, Morris a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy will host the Morris Bulldogs. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy came up short against South Bronx and fell 38-27.

Meanwhile, Morris was beaten by Mott Haven 53-12 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 477th, while the Mavericks are ranked 103rd).

Morris' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy beat Morris 37-24 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy repeat their success, or does Morris have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
