Softball Recap: Foothill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Crean Lutheran last Tuesday, Foothill came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Beckman Patriots by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 6-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Zamarippa Belle made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Arrazola, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Foothill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Beckman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Foothill will square off against Brea Olinda at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beckman, they will welcome San Juan Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
