After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Narraguagus, Jonesport-Beals was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 win over the Shead Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Jonesport-Beals' win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Shead, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Looking ahead, Jonesport-Beals will take on Machias at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Shead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
