Basketball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton suffered their closest loss since February 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the East Windsor Panthers by a score of 42-39. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-45 back in January.

East Windsor got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Taylor Jackson out in front who went 8-for-14 to rack up 16 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Jackson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bailey Winner, who posted 16 points.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for East Windsor, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-7.

Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Windsor, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-36 loss against Coventry on the 19th.
