Soccer Game Preview: Forge Christian vs. Kent Denver

Forge Christian is 0-10 against Kent Denver since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Fury will be playing at home against the Sun Devils at 6:00 p.m.

Forge Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to seven goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Peak to Peak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Pumas by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Kent Denver came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering Kent Denver have won five contests by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Eagle Ridge Academy from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kyky O'Connor led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Kent Denver pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those four games. As for Forge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3-2.

Forge Christian suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Kent Denver in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Fury were down 5-0.
