Preview: Bath Wildcats vs. Celina Bulldogs
Bath is 7-2 against Celina since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Bath Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Celina Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Bath, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-46 loss to Ottawa-Glandorf. While losing is never fun, Bath can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Ottawa-Glandorf is ranked 12th).
Celina suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Allen East 62-35. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Celina in their matchups with Allen East: they've now lost three in a row.
Bath's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Celina, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.
Bath took their win against Celina in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 45-24. Does Bath have another victory up their sleeve, or will Celina turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
