Baseball Recap: Benicia Panthers vs. Vintage Crushers

Benicia had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a run and slipped past the Vintage Crushers 4-3. The win was familiar territory for Benicia who now have five in a row.

Cormac O?Connell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over 5.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, Wyatt Miyamoto was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Rowles, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

On Vintage's side, Austin Buffler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.
