Football Recap: Scotland/Menno Takes a Loss

Scotland/Menno played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Bon Homme Cavaliers and fell 50-14. The Trappers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-8.

Despite the loss, Scotland/Menno saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mirik Vaith rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.

Scotland/Menno dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bon Homme, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Scotland/Menno and Bon Homme will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Trappers are set to take on their familiar foe Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bon Homme will face off against rival Gregory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
