Basketball Recap: Copperas Cove Find Success

Copperas Cove hadn't done well against Temple recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, the Copperas Cove Bulldawgs made off with a 46-45 win over the Temple Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Bulldawgs: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in December of 2024, they had to take a 51-42 defeat.

Copperas Cove has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Temple, they dropped their record down to 12-15 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Copperas Cove and Temple will both be playing Midway the next time they take the court. Temple will host Midway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Copperas Cove will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
