Basketball Recap: Coastal Brigade Skates Past Bethel Assembly Christian Academy with Ease

Coastal Brigade won the last time they faced Bethel Assembly Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. Coastal Brigade took their game with ease, bagging a 69-33 win over Bethel Assembly Christian Academy. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-14.

Coastal Brigade's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cade Lewis, who shot 43% from the field en route to 18 points. Lewis has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Beau Brake was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Coastal Brigade was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They racked up six more assists than Bethel Assembly Christian Academy's also-impressive total of ten.

Despite the loss, Bethel Assembly Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Peyton Liverman, who posted 18 points and three steals. That was a full 54.5% of the Eagles' points, marking the third time in a row Liverman has scored more than a third of the team's points.

The win (which was Coastal Brigade's third in a row) raised their record to 10-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 46.7 points. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coastal Brigade will welcome Pitt County P at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bethel Assembly Christian Academy, they will square off against New Life Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
