Volleyball Game Preview: North Pontotoc Vikings vs. New Albany Bulldogs

North Pontotoc hasn't had much luck against New Albany recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Vikings will challenge the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

On Tuesday, North Pontotoc made easy work of South Pontotoc and carried off a 3-0 win.

North Pontotoc never let South Pontotoc on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-13, 25-18.

Meanwhile, New Albany waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Braves.

While New Albany won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24, 25-11.

North Pontotoc better keep an eye on Lizzie Moore. She was instrumental in New Albany's win, getting ten digs and five assists. That's the most assists Moore has posted since back in August.

New Albany's victory bumped their record up to 26-10-4. As for North Pontotoc, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

North Pontotoc suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to New Albany in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
