Volleyball Game Preview: Wayland-Cohocton Eagles vs. Hornell Red Raiders

Wayland-Cohocton hasn't had much luck against Hornell recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m.

Wayland-Cohocton came up short against Avon on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

If Livonia wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hornell, they should've done a better job of containing Mia Nasca. The Red Raiders put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday thanks in part to Nasca, who had 21 digs and one assist. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Hornell was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 25-16.

Hornell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Wayland-Cohocton, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.

Wayland-Cohocton might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Hornell in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
