There's no place like home for Bernie, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Woodland Cardinals on Monday. This was payback for the Mules, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

While Bernie won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-22.

Sophia Vessell paced Bernie's offense, picking up nine kills. Vessell also shared the team's lead in assists with Alexa Dillinger: they picked up 14 each. Dillinger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bernie is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10-1 record this season. As for Woodland, they dropped their record down to 12-13-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Bernie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Risco on the 22nd. Woodland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
