Platteview and Beatrice pushed the score to  16-11 the last time they played Beatrice, but  on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Trojans came out on top in a nail-biter against the Orangemen, sneaking past  3-1. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the   16-11 win the Orangemen walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
 Bryson Banks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on one hit and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Tucker Riha, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Easton Harris, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
Platteview now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Beatrice, their loss  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 7-7.
 Coincidentally, Platteview and Beatrice will both be playing Malcolm the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Clippers at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while the Orangemen will  host them  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
