Basketball Recap: Kaplan Takes a Loss

Kaplan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Abbeville Wildcats and fell 70-19. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Wildcats are ranked 128th).

Kaplan's loss dropped their record down to 2-26. As for Abbeville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-15.

Kaplan has already played their next matchup, a 38-32 victory against Erath on the 31st. As for Abbeville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-40 win against St. Martinville on the 31st.
