Football Recap: Daniel Boone Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Daniel Boone's offense. They lost 21-0 to the Morristown-Hamblen West Trojans on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Trailblazers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Leading Morristown-Hamblen West to victory were Malachi Monroe and Riley McClellan. Monroe rushed for 80 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, while McClellan threw for 151 yards on only 12 passes. That's the most rushing touchdowns Monroe has posted since back in November of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Daniel Boone and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Daniel Boone will square off against rival David Crockett on Friday. Meanwhile, Morristown-Hamblen West is set to take on their familiar foe Cocke County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
