Baseball Recap: Ten Straight Home Victories for Mt. Spokane

Mt. Spokane won against Ferris on Thursday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Wildcats beat the Saxons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on six straight.

Mt. Spokane pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Ferris, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mt. Spokane will square off against rival Gonzaga Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 3, the Bullpups 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ferris is set to face off against their familiar foe Ridgeline at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
