It was a proper cat-fight when Union duked it out with Pine View on Thursday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 9-1 win. Considering the Cougars have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Haylee Moynier made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kallie Duncan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
