            Softball Recap: Pelham Pythons vs. Souhegan Sabers        
        
		
        
        
            The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Monday as neither Pelham nor Souhegan made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Pythons put the hurt on the Sabers with a sharp  11-1 victory. The Pythons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six  runs or more this season.
 Caileigh Aguiar made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI.

 In other batting news, Pelham let  Sophia Forristall and  Aubrin Berger run wild. Forristall  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with three  RBI and one  run, while  Berger  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with three  runs. Those  three  runs gave  Berger a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Evelyn Smith, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs.
The  win made it two in a row for Pelham and  bumps their season record up to 4-9. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-11 Hanover and 1-11 Souhegan. As for Souhegan, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Coming up, Pelham will challenge Milford at 3:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Pythons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.2  runs per game this season. As for Souhegan, they will be playing at home against Hanover  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
