Basketball Recap: Oswego Extends Winning Streak to Four

If Altoona-Midway wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Oswego, they should've done a better job of containing Madison Foster. The Oswego Indians blew past the Altoona-Midway Jets 51-30 on Friday thanks in part to Foster, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine boards. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Jaycee Schulz, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played.

The victory (which was Oswego's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24 points. As for Altoona-Midway, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oswego will be taking part in a tournament against Fredonia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oswego is facing Fredonia at the right time seeing as Fredonia is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Altoona-Midway, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Yates Center on January 28th.
